COVID MADE ME DO IT
It’s a simple, short story really. I was without a painting, and the news was all bad. Surrounded by an ever exploding Covid Pandemic in the summer of 2020, I found myself worrying, thinking and fretting far too much. I was losing sleep, like so many of us apparently were.
I had to have a painting so I went for a walk in beautiful Cliff Gilker Park here on the Sunshine Coast. Usually, I find most of my images by the ocean, or a lake. But I was determined to come home with a painting, even if it was a subject matter I don’t frequently tackle.
And so, for the next 8 or 10 days I had a painting to do. The beautiful, tumbling creek in the Park was a natural. The painting itself provided a great diversion, and I used a palette I seldom find. It served its purpose, this little painting. I slept a little better each night while the painting was taking shape. And I gave it an appropriate, if strange, title – “COVID MADE ME DO IT”
My images predominantly sell as limited edition prints (either serigraph or giclée). As such, there is a wide range of pricing, too wide to list within this website. I’ll explain.
My original paintings, those that are still available for sale, range in price from $4,000.00 and up. In most cases though I have limited edition prints available of my images. If it’s a limited edition print you’re interested in, let me explain. Because of modern day technologies, the image you are interested in can be giclée printed on either paper or canvas. The canvas images can be rolled up and shipped in a simple tube, or they can be stretched on a frame and shipped that way. So too, these images can be reproduced custom made to your wishes. In other words I can create a print in the size you desire, either to fill a small space, or to fill an entire wall. I’ve included below a photograph of a client’s dining room with two of my prints reproduced in a larger format.
You will see that some of my pieces shown on this web site, those lithograph reproductions and art cards, do have fixed prices. The rest of my images, however, can be priced only when I know specifically what you, the client, want.
