The Sunshine Coast

That’s where I live – Gibsons, British Columbia, Canada. We’re at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, only a short ferry ride from the metropolitan Vancouver area. I’m retired here and, for me, it’s the perfect place to be. You can see the ocean that’s all around me. This photograph was taken from the top of Soames Hill and other mountains, much higher than Soames, surround us. That’s Vancouver Island off in the distance.

This is where I find many of my paintings. I canoe on the ocean twelve months a year, I fly fish, hike, walk the beaches, go up the mountain and pick mushrooms and berries in the fall and most every day I’m out of doors. Paintings and images are all around me. All I have to do is answer the beckoning call and go out and find them. In viewing this small selection of my paintings I hope you too can feel the very positive energy of coastal British Columbia.

Come and visit us sometime. The trail to Soames Hill is easy to find.
