MY COVID WINDS

MY COVID WINDS

The Covid winds blow cold and cruel to every vulnerable corner of our world in the years of 2020/21.  Our community, the community of the world, huddles and hides in any available shelter or perceived safe place.  Yet, in spite of our collective efforts, sometimes the ever-present Covid wind searches us out.  One by one, it seems to find us no matter how hard we try to avoid its icy touch.  Much as we try to turn our attention from its presence, if only for a short time, it’s always there.  The chilling Covid wind touches us in so many ways.  Not only making us sick of body, this ill wind infects our very spirit if we let it.  Separated and alone, left to our own devices and meagre tactics, some are finding little comfort in these difficult times.  The cold Covid wind seems to find us in one way or the other no matter where we hide.

But, I’ve found a better wind, a healing wind, in a place where Covid can’t touch me.  It’s called Bonniebrook Beach, right here on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.  If I feel the oppression and imposed solitude of Covid, I simply take that short drive to Bonniebrook.  The very first breath of the breezes of the Salish Sea is medicinal in its sweet, cool touch.  And, for as long as I like, I can escape the ravages of the threat of Covid.  I can even meet others there, walk and sit at a distance, and feel safe.  By the time I go home, the good and soothing medicine of Bonniebrook and its ever-present breezes and winds have given me the strength, conviction and energy to face another day.  One day at a time, my wife and I find our way using the healing power of nature to get us through.

No matter where you are, the bountiful medicine cabinet of nature waits for you.  You may not have beautiful Bonniebrook Beach on a warm, breezy day, but you have your own special place with healing nature somewhere near you, if you’ll only search it out.

This painting, created in 2021, in the midst of the Covid Pandemic, speaks of positivity and the comforting, healing winds at Bonniebrook Beach.  These are the good winds that I choose, not the cold, negative winds that search us out in these trying times.  I call this painting of Bonniebrook’s natural beauty on a coastal blustery day “My Covid Winds”.

Pricing

My images predominantly sell as limited edition prints (either serigraph or giclée). As such, there is a wide range of pricing, too wide to list within this website. I’ll explain.

My original paintings, those that are still available for sale, range in price from $4,000.00 and up. In most cases though I have limited edition prints available of my images. Needless to say, they are far less expensive than the original paintings. If you are interested in a particular original painting, please contact me at your earliest convenience at info@edhillart.com

If it’s a limited edition print you’re interested in, let me explain. Because of modern day technologies, the image you are interested in can be giclée printed on either paper or canvas. The canvas images can be rolled up and shipped in a simple tube, or they can be stretched on a frame and shipped that way. So too, these images can be reproduced custom made to your wishes. In other words I can create a print in the size you desire, either to fill a small space, or to fill an entire wall. I’ve included below a photograph of a client’s dining room with two of my prints reproduced in a larger format.

You will see that some of my pieces shown on this web site, those lithograph reproductions and art cards, do have fixed prices. The rest of my images, however, can be priced only when I know specifically what you, the client, want. As such, if you are interested in a particular image, please contact me, Ed Hill, directly at info@edhillart.com

Once your order has been determined, you’ll be able to make payment through PayPal provided herein.
